Wickepin Volunteer Resource Centre
The Wickepin Volunteer Resource Centre is located in the Wheatbelt in rural Western Australia. The Wickepin District relies on volunteers and volunteer organisations to assist in sustaining the community.
Volunteering is essential in small rural communities. Volunteering contributes to the social, economic and environmental sustainability of these communities. In the Wickepin District volunteers play a major role in contributing in part or total to:
- Sport & Recreation
- Tourism
- Recycling
- Education
- Youth
- Landcare
- Community and Social Development
- Progress Associations
- Telecentre
Many services and facilities would be lost without the support of volunteers.
As such the Wickepin Volunteer Resource Centre is committed to providing resources, training, information and support to volunteers and volunteer organisations in the local and surrounding districts.
More information about volunteering in general can be found here.
